Banza: Sanitary Toilet System

challenge: Create a series of collateral and instructional materials that can be used in multiple countries (with multiple languages) that demonstrate how to use this portable toilet system. The primary audience currently does not have access to plumbing or sanitary conditions. This system offers a way to keep toilet-going sanitary and reduce the possibility of contamination and exposure to disease.

result: A bright and upbeat collection that hints at the creator’s African heritage (with the patterns mimicking traditional garment prints), as well as the system’s approachable style. It looks clean and friendly, showing that anyone can use it. The diagrams included show the process without the need for extensive text. As an added bonus, the system provides employment for collectors that recycle the waste into fertilizer for nearby crops, keeping the process and the benefits in the community.
